Bach Revisited for Piano: A New Perspective on Bach Classics

My second project with Mel Bay was finally released this year. This time, Bach classics arranged in the style of Impressionism, similar to great composers like Ravel. At the moment, this is the first installment of the "Revisited" series. If the project performs well, and everything aligns correctly, then we will see a sequel with Chopin Revisited. That sequel will give Chopin a jazzy twist, so stay tuned!

This album is a nostalgic homage to video game music of the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. Inspired by the soundscapes on classic platforms, like the Gameboy, NES, Nintendo 64, SEGA Genesis, Mega Drive, and Dreamcast. This also includes games like Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros, Wario Land 4, among many others. The album contains 10 tracks, and each one had a particular inspiration.

This collection was in the making since 2017, but after years of writing and laboriously perfecting all the details, these masterpieces are finally available for the public. This album of 12 pieces catalogs my journey and travels in Julian, California; a place famous for apple pie and a historic mining town. All these pieces were created with my true artistic vision. For that reason, it uses all my skill and knowledge of the piano and music composition, so they are an advanced difficulty level. This collection was created for the sake of art, and dedicated connoisseurs of piano music will appreciate the craftsmanship.

The classic theme from the video game is now available for piano solo.

Composed by the Talented Jerry Martin, and arranged for piano by Bryce Russell in two versions of difficulty, which is only available exclusively through Hal Leonard's ArrangeMe program.

Musicians will appreciate the advanced version, because it tries to faithfully recreate the original score as close as possible, done similarly in a transcription style. The version for easy and intermediate pianists reduces the difficulty, but preserves key characteristics to maintain the style and the composer's intentions.
